Problems building from plans are many and various. This article lists building problems with their fixes, so that users can quickly zero in on their particular issue. To enable this quick visual scan by the user we have used sliders which by default are all closed, thus allowing the user to quickly scan the problem list and then, on finding the particular problem encountered, the slider can be clicked open to reveal the needed detail.

 

1. Unsure how to begin.

3. Avoiding Building A Twisted Fuselage.

4. Fuel tank location is difficult.

Cause

Fuel tank is not identical to that used on the plan.

 

 

 

5. Building pins damaging the delicate fuselage longerons.

Cause

Building pins put through components can cause damage and  should be avoided where components are small in girth e.g. 1/16".

Good stuff Bob.
My method uses magnets on a steel sheet building board.
A Google search on "magnetic building board" will bring up many good ideas, even for fuselage jigs based on mdf formers with magnetic feet!
